I had the geekiest dream ever last night. I just thought I’d write it down before I forget everything.

It was a little like Inception, but with a slight twist. So basically, in my dream we lived in an era where time travel through borrowed consciousness was possible. Like you could travel to the 1800s and “see” through the perspective of a person who actually lived in the 1800s. The catch was, there was a certain person or thing that acted as a “constant” for you to retain your present consciousness’s past memories (in your present body) while living in the borrowed consciousness. Without this constant, you ran the risk of actually merging with the borrowed consciousness (i.e. you would forget your present self and your reality would actually become your time-traveled reality).

I don’t know how well I explained that but anyway it was really cool. In my dream I traveled back to the 1960s and saw through the eyes of a troubled woman who eventually killed herself (I experienced her throwing herself off a cliff) but my constant, some random guy I don’t remember, pulled me back to the present before I could die in the borrowed consciousness.

How geeky is that?
