Today, I want to say it out loud (well, on my blog, anyway).
I am going into full-time ministry.
(And no, this is not a joke, so you can stop laughing, okay??? Haha)
If you had told me 2 years ago that I would be going into full-time ministry in an Islamic country, I would have said “Highly unlikely”. 5 years ago I would have laughed at you. 7 years ago I would probably have asked you for some of whatever you were smoking.
And yet, here I am!
What a privilege to get to be a part of the team. The weight of the responsibility is just now sinking in but I know God has equipped me for this very purpose.
I’ve heard Him speak, and I’ve prayed and talked to my family about it, and I know this is the path that I’m meant to take. Where it will go in 1, 5, 10 years, I have no idea. And it’s scary and exciting at the same time, to be in this position, in this part of the world, at this point in time.
I’ll have more to say about all this in succeeding blog entries but for now I’ll leave it at that.
My heart is at peace. Thank you, Lord, for affirmation after affirmation.
I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.
